Our Range of Floor Coverings

Tile & Stone:

  • Ideal for high thermal conductivity.

  • Ceramic tile and stone quickly transfer heat to the floor surface, providing an efficient and high heat output of up to 200W/m².

  • Retains heat well, making it suitable for areas with high heat loss like conservatories.

Laminate:

  • Increasingly popular for its practicality and visual versatility.

  • Well-compatible with underfloor heating, especially with denser laminate.

  • Thinner and denser laminates offer shorter heat-up times and a more responsive heating system.

Wood:

  • Engineered timber is the optimal choice for wood flooring with underfloor heating.

  • Performs well with changes in floor temperature.

  • Pay attention to the thickness of floorboards to prevent insulation blocking heat.

  • The floor surface temperature should not exceed 27°C for wood flooring.

Vinyl:

  • Heats up and cools down quickly.

  • Safe for use with underfloor heating.

  • Subject to a top floor temperature restriction of usually 27°C, making it suitable for various spaces.

Carpet:

  • Suitable for underfloor heating if the material of the carpet or underlay does not act as an insulator.

  • Total tog of all materials, including underlays, must not exceed 2.5 tog to ensure sufficient heat output.
